I'm Sahin. I created this website to explore mythology, folklore, legendary beings, and the stories that have shaped how people understand the world and imagine the extraordinary.
I'm interested in making these subjects easier to explore through clear explanations, useful references, and resources that readers can return to when learning about a tradition, developing a story, or building a fictional world.
Why UltraMythos Exists
Mythology and folklore contain a remarkable range of stories, characters, creatures, and interpretations. They can preserve cultural traditions, explain how communities have understood the world, and inspire new forms of storytelling.
UltraMythos brings these subjects together in a format designed for curious readers, writers, worldbuilders, and tabletop role-playing enthusiasts.
The goal is to make the material approachable without flattening the differences between traditions or presenting every version of a story as identical.
How I Approach the Content
I aim to make UltraMythos useful, readable, and transparent about the information it presents.
That means giving readers appropriate context, distinguishing traditional accounts from modern interpretations where relevant, and acknowledging that stories may have different versions across sources, regions, and periods.
When information is uncertain or interpretations differ, the content should communicate that uncertainty rather than imply that every question has a single settled answer.
I also aim to make corrections and improvements when an error is identified.
Beyond the Stories
UltraMythos is also intended to be useful to people creating their own fictional settings, developing characters, exploring legendary creatures, or looking for inspiration for tabletop role-playing games.
Where relevant, the site combines explanatory content with practical resources and interactive tools. Explore mythology content, creatures, folklore and legends, worldbuilding resources, and RPG tools.
